The Rainy River District School Board has adopted a 36.8 million dollar preliminary balanced budget for the next school year.
Superintendent of Business Laura Mills notes overall grants from the province have increased by 2 percent.

The budget contains continued support for various programs including full day S-K, later literacy, achievement schools, mentoring programs and staff development.
Mills adds final tweaking of the budget will take place over the summer with provincial funding regulations expected later this week.
