Rural Ontario Institute Looking At Out-Migration Rates

Northwestern Ontario continues to see its youth leave and not return.

The Rural Ontario Institute finds this region with one of the highest out-migration rates in the province.

Director Norman Regatlie says youth need to be engaged and committed to their community and municipal councils should be doing what they can to encourage them to return.

Regatlie adds jobs and quality of life are essential in curbing out-migration.
