English River Miners forward Landen Matechuk has been named SIJHL Player of the Week.
The 20-year-old registered a point in seven of the eight goals the Miners scored on the weekend against Thunder Bay.
Matechuk started things by scoring four times and adding an assist on the game-winner in a 6-4 win.
He finished the weekend with a goal and an assist in a 3-2 shootout loss.
Nic Noseworthy of the Dryden GM Ice Dogs also received consideration.
