The City of Dryden has found its replacement for Fire Chief Ken Kurz.
Ryan Murrell has been appointed to the position.
Cora MacRae will become the Deputy Fire Chief.
Both Murrell and MacRae will serve in Acting Capacities until Kurz officially retires at the end of the calendar year. Chief Administrative Officer Ernie Remillard says the appointments create excitement within the organization in a sense that they are developing internally and here at home.
Remillard says the moves tie-in with the vision of developing from within.
Both Murrell and MacRae are fresh faces to the Dryden Fire Service but Remillard has no concerns calling them “a great one-two punch”, who will work amazing with their volunteer fire team.
