Ryan Parent Receives 2 Honors

The Guelph Storm of the Ontario Hockey League has recognized one of the Region’s best young talents.
Sioux Lookout’s Ryan Parent has been named Rookie of the Year for the Storm.
Parent says winning the award and playing in the Memorial Cup were both total surprises.
Including Playoffs, the 17-year-old defenceman played in 80 games last season, recording 6 points and finishing with a +10 rating.
Parent has also been invited to the National Hockey Under 18 Summer Camp.
He will join 39 of Canada’s top players in Calgary at the end of July.
The best players will take part in the 2005 World Under 18 Championships in April in the Czech Republic.
