The Keewatin Patricia District School Board has received
210 thousand dollars to support the Safe Schools Act, Bill 212.
The Provincial Government has changed a section of the bill
that deals with how school boards handle suspensions.
School Board Spokesperson Al Wray says the changes come
into effect February 1st.

The School Board will also have to provide students with
a non academic program during their suspension period.
Non-academic programs includes counselling, support from
outside agencies, and behavioural modeficiation.
