The Provincial Government has changed the way School

Boards deal with Suspensions and Expullsions.

Over 210 thousand dollars in provincial funding has been

allocated to the Keewatin Patricia District School Board

to offer support programs to suspended students.

The new legislation states suspended students will have

to keep up with their curriculum during their time away

from school. Teachers will no longer be allowed to

suspend students, the decision will be made by the

Principal.
