Safety Concerns in North Dryden Addressed

The City has addressed some of the safety concerns around New Prospect School and other parts of North Dryden.
Council has approved several measures including a plan to construct dual sidewalks, extend curbing and start a process that will likely lead to reduced speeds and increased signage.
The City will also ask the Public School Board to divert bus traffic away from the Mary Avenue area.
Council has also agreed to study other parts of the City as possible “School Zones”.
Mayor Anne Krassilowsky suggests the measures don’t go far enough and won’t be completed before winter.
Krassilowsky also wants to see a 4-way stop erected at Mary Avenue and Wice Road.
