Dryden Mayor Anne Krassilowsky promised quick action and true to her word, Council is moving to implement safety procedures around New Prospect School.
A delegation of concerned parents asked last week for a crossing guard and 4 way stop signs in the area and City Manager Arie Hoogenboom says a crossing guard will likely be in place at Mary and Wice in about a month’s time.
The 4 way stop seems to be a thorny issue though.
Some on Council feel it would ensure safety of children in the neighborhood but some believe that is not necessarily true.
More input will be sought from the planner currently conducting a study in North Dryden on population growth and traffic flow.
