Another friendly reminder to always be safe with your electric devices and appliances.
Dr. Joel Moody from the Electrical Safety Authority says there is no such thing as a “safe shock”, noting small shocks can still cause permanent damage.
Moody says 110 kids under the age of 15 go to the emergency room in Ontario every year, more than half of them being under the age of 5.
He says preventative measures should be taken such as installing tamper-resistant outlets and replacing frayed cords.
