Canada Safeway is preparing for a possible strike at its stores in Dryden, Kenora and Fort Frances.
The grocery giant is advertising to fill temporary positions in the event of job action.
Safeway spokesperson Toby Oswald-Felker says negotiations resumed yesterday.
Oswald-Felker says they intend to keep the three stores open if their is a strike.
One set of negotiations has already taken place, but the Union representing the workers rejected the company offer.
