Salary And Financial Info Now Being Posted

Starting today the salaries of aboriginal chiefs and councillors as well as band financial statements are starting to be posted on the federal government’s website.
The Canadian Taxpayers Federation is happy about the move since they started calling for such disclosure back in 2009.
Colin Craig says the website is still in the early stages with each First Nations information being scanned and uploaded to the website in the coming weeks and months.
Craig notes band members have been calling for greater accountability for years.
