Liz Sandals is calling on the province’s Education Relations Commission for advice.
The education minister says the government is growing concerned about ongoing strikes by public high school teachers in three Toronto-area districts.
She says they’re seeking the Commission’s input on whether or not the job action is putting the school year at risk for the more than 70,000 students being kept from class.
Sandals hasn’t indicated if the province will inact back-to-work legislation, maintaining the hope is to reach a negotiated agreement.
