Firefighters were forced to block off Sandy Beach Road in Dryden last night in order to get a handle on a bush fire.
Fire crews from the Dryden Fire Service and the Ministry of Natural Resources were on hand to battle a small blaze just north of Sandy Beach Road near the golf course.
A waterbomber was quickly called in and the fire was contained before it got out of control.
A Dryden Police spokesperson says it is unknown at this point how the fire started.
