Another big donation for the CT Scan project at the Meno-Ya-Win Health Centre in Sioux Lookout.
Sandy Lake First Nation announced a $100,000 donation today. (Wednesday)
The donation is to honour 5-Sandy Lake community members who staged a 3-day hunger strike at the old Zone Hospital in 1988.
Chief Adam Fiddler says their efforts brought great improvements to the area health care system.
Installation of the CT Scanner should be completed by the end of the month and $1.79-million has already been raised.
