Sapawe Forest Will be Sprayed

The Ministry of Natural Resources is planning on using a registered
herbicide in the Sapawe Forest in the Atikokan area.
The aerial spraying will be conducted from August 15th to September
30th.
The move is intended to protect the Atikokan Forest Products timber
supply and sections of the Boreal North and East of the Town will be
covered.
The MNR says the non-harmful herbicide is common in this area and the
spraying will not be conducted in inhabited areas or bodies of water.
