The Province is revising it’s health unit mandatory
program indicator questionnaires.
The Northwestern Health Unit is one of four health units
helping rewrite the MPIQ’S.
Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Pete Sarsfield says they
want the surveys to list all communities, and first
nations within the health units service area.

It’s hard for the health unit to determine whether or not
they are compliant with mandatory programs, becuase
certain services are offered in large municipalities, and
not in the smaller.
The revised questionnaires are expected late 2007, early
2008.
