Sarsfield on Smoking in Cars 2

A Private Member’s Bill has been introduced in the Legislature to ban
smoking in cars carrying children under the age of 16 much to the delight
of the Region’s Medical Officer of Health.
Dr. Pete Sarsfield says smoking should be banned in vehicles all
together because of the significant health risks.
However, Sarsfield is concerned that Private Member Bills rarely become
law.

n025 runs: 21 sec. out…don’t think.

Sarsfield says the issue should be a Provincial one to avoid different
laws in different communities.
