The Medical Officer of Health for the Northwestern Health Unit is
throwing his support behind calls to ban smoking in cars carrying kids.
Dr. Pete Sarsfield says no one should be exposed to second hand smoke
in vehicles.
However, Sarsfield says implementing such a ban is out of the Health
Unit’s jurisdiction.

carrying children under the age of 16, however these bills seldom become
