Scare in the Water in Wabigoon

Three people are accounted for and are in good health after a night swimming in Nugget Creek, just north of the Highway 17 bridge.
Wabigoon Fire received an emergency call around 11:30 Saturday night and firefighters pulled one person out of the water near a resident’s dock.
The victim wasn’t able to clearly communicate the entire circumstance but firefighters acted on the assumption that his two friends where still in the water.
Dryden Fire was contacted and firefighters searched the creek for over 3-hours.
The area was dragged and 2-hooded sweatshirts were located in the water.
Firefighters later learned that the two people were already safely at a local residence.
OPP are looking into the incident.
