The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board is concerned it could see a significant shortfall in Special Education funding this year.
Superintendent of Education Jack McMaster says the Ministry of Education had promised $1.8 million in the Fall, but has since imposed a spending freeze.
McMaster says the Board has already spent the money to hire Education Assistants and want the Province to live up to its end of the bargain.
