The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board is taking stock of its 21st Century Learning initiative.
Over the past two years the public school board has invested over $2-million in a program that’s put an I-pad or netbook into the hands of everyone of its students.
Director of Education Sean Monteith says they want to evaluate the program before spending any more money on new technology.
Monteith says they still have a number of un-used laptops and netbooks in stock, and they want to put those to use.
Monteith adds because technology is changing so fast, they want to have a better grasp of their needs going forward.
He is calling the initiative a success.
