The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board is hoping for the continuation of a well received pilot program.
40-students are enrolled in the Adult Education Pilot program, which is fully funded by the Sioux Lookout Area Aboriginal Management Board.
Public School Board Spokesperson Richard Hodgkinson says the initiative is scheduled to end in March.
Hodgkinson says early indication for the course being renewed is positive.
Two full time teachers are involved and the project is being run out of Sioux Lookout as well as by video conference across the Treaty 9 nation.
The Adult Education Delivery Project helps those in Sioux Lookout and Treaty 9 communities wanting to upgrade to college level English and Math or to pursue a High School diploma.
