The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board is doing a great job in
meeting class size standards set by the Provincial Government.
Last school year, 67% of kindergarten to grade 3 classes in the
District had 20 or fewer students in a classroom and only 5% had 25
or more.
The board was also able to hire 6-teachers to reduce class sizes.
All School Boards are expected to meet the target of 20 or fewer
students in 90% of primary classes by 2007-2008.
