The Federal Government has signed the final text of the softwood
lumber agreement with the United States.
Ontario Forest Industry Association President Jamie Lim says her
membership is disappointed.
Lim says they are upset with the last mintue addition of a 2-year
termination clause, which means the States could bow out of the 7-year deal.
She says they’re meeting with their stakeholders this week to consider
Ontario’s next step.
