The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board is going to be penalized by the Ministry of Education for not having its budget in by the end of August.
The public school board isn’t expected to pass the budget until September 12th.
Dean Carrie is the Superintendant of Business and says they had to cut 1.3 million dollars to come up with a balanced budget, and that is going to affect their staffing.
