Sioux Lookout Council has decided to fix area roads now before
maintenance costs become uncontrollable.
The Town plans to move ahead with a $4.6-million dollar, 7-year
road rehabilitation program.
Council says the public has identified the deplorable condition of
several roads as a top priority.
Construction is scheduled to begin next Spring on the Drayton Loop,
Abram Lake Road and the Mill Road in Hudson.
CAO Merlin Dewing says they will seek assistance from various Government programs
and obtain a low interest loan to finance the multi-year rehabilitation
plan.
