Trustees with the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board are hoping a new report on funding for the education system will mean more money for local schools.
School Board Chair Barb Hancock doubts the Eves Government will implement all the recommendations.
Hancock says it makes several suggestions that could directly effect the public school board.
The board and parent groups are pleased with a provincial handout of $250 million for special education.
Hancock has been re-elected to a third consecutive term as Chair of the School Board.
