Local school boards now have a better idea how much money they will have to spend in the next school year.
The Ministry of Education has released its grant allocations for 2016-2017.
The Northwest Catholic District School Board will see its budget jump from $19.8-million to $20.5-million.
For the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board, the picture isn’t quite as rosy.
Its grant allocation is being increased just $3,000 from last year and sits at $73.6-million.
The Kenora Catholic District School Board will see the biggest increase, with their budget rising to $23.3-million.
That’s $700,000 more than this year.
