A school bus driver in Ignace is lucky to be back on the road.
On Tuesday morning a school bus, operated by Iron Range Bus Lines, was run off the road by a tractor trailer.
The trailer unit had crossed the centre line of the roadway, however the bus driver made the split decision and headed into the ditch coming to stop in a outcropping of bedrock.
The bus driver suffered minor injuries and no students were aboard the bus at the time.
However the driver was unable to get a description of the trailer unit.
The Northwest Student Services Consortium and Iron Range Bus Lines is asking anyone with information to come forward.
