As much of the region braces for a winter storm, the NWO Student Services Consortium is taking no chances and has cancelled numerous school buses for Thursday.
School buses will not be running in Dryden, Vermilion Bay, Ignace, Upsala nor Kenora.
A decision on buses for Red Lake, Ear Falls and Sioux Lookout willl be made early in the morning.
The length of the Trans Canada from the Manitoba Border to English River is under a Snowfall Warning with 12 -15 cm of snow expected throughout tomorrow along with poor driving conditions.
Weather warnings have also been issued for Fort Frances, Atikokan and parts of South Eastern Manitoba.
At 9 PM, Environment Canada’s 24 hour forecast for Dryden indicated snow starting at 9 or 10, turning into heavy snow overnight and heavy snow all day Thursday.
