trustees with the keewatin-patricia district school board voted last
night in favour of closing wabigoon, riverview and pinewood schools and
building a new school on the riverview site.
ed arnold was the only one to vote against the plan.

wabigoon school will close its doors at the end of this school year
and students will be transferred to riverview.
pinewood will close at the end of the 2009 school year and at that time
the board hopes the new 13-million dollar facility will be ready to open.
the vacant oxdrift school will also permantely close.
