The Keewatin-Patricia District School board says its working closely with all of its elementary and secondary schools to improve student success.
The board has just released its School Effectiveness plan, which is based on consultations with each school and its principals and teachers.
Suzanne Bastable helped draft the plan and says they will be doing follow visits to each school this year to see what progress is being made.
Bastable says the board has established six priorities teachers will be focusing on in the next year to help improve student achievement.
Bastable says the provincial government provided the funding for the School Effectiveness Plan, which is being carried out in every school district in Ontario.
