The Keewatin Patricia District School Board has embarked
on a school effectiveness project.
A district review team visits area schools and identifies
the facilities strengths and weaknesses.
Spokesperson Suzanne Bastable says to date they have
visited 13 out of 22 schools.
After the team visit, a Superintendent will follow up
with the school and see what steps they have taken to
improve.
Director of Education Janet Wilkenson says they intend to
include Secondary schools next year, and feel it’s a
worthwhile project.
The Ministry of Education requires the board to visit
only 2 schools a year.
