The Keewatin Patricia District School Board continues to
work towards creating a greener educational environment.
The board’s environmental stewardship council met
recently and drafted goals and initiatives for their group.
Each school is to have an Eco Team to help change the
habits and attitudes within the school.
An example would be to persuade students and staff to
turn off their computer monitors.
The board recently received almost 24 thousand dollars in
provincial funding for the Environmental Stewardship
program.
