‘Schools Building Schools’ Project Underway

High School students in Dryden, Ignace, Sioux Lookout, Pelican Falls and Kenora have raised over $17,000 to help build a new school in a tiny community in Central America.
‘Schools Building Schools’ held a virtual ground breaking ceremony last week with students in Guatemala.
Peter Keen is a member of the Dryden Rotary Club and says their goal was to build a new two room facility.
Construction of that new school is underway.
The money raised by students was matched by the Rotary Club.
