Two more communities have been eliminated from consideration to be a disposal site for nuclear waste.
The Nuclear Waste Management Organization has taken Schreiber and Creighton, Saskatchewan off the list of eligible communities.
The agency says both communities have geological issues that reduce the likelihood of finding a suitable location for a nuclear fuel disposal site.
That leaves just nine communities in the running, with more than half of those in northern Ontario.
Ignace, Manitouwadge, White River, Elliott Lake, Blind River and Hornepayne are still under consideration.
