The regional Screen for Life Coach is back on the road.
Program Lead Lauren Beach says the mobile unit is in Ignace starting today until next Tuesday to provide breast, cervical and colon cancer screening.
You can call 1-800-461-7031 for an appointment.
Beach says that allows staff to collect medical information on the client.
She notes women, who are between the ages of 50 and 74 years, should have a breast cancer screening mammogram every two years.
Women between the ages of 21 and 69 years should be screened for cervical cancer every three years.
Men and women, between the ages of 50 and 74 years, should be tested for colon cancer every two years.
The coach will be in Dryden from September 5th until the 14th.
Schedule:
Eagle Lake First Nation Arena: September 14th
Vermilion Bay Municipal Office: September 14th-17th
