Finally some long awaited good news for Weyerhaeuser.
The Company is reporting a rebound in the second quarter in pulp prices
as well as the fine paper and container board side of operations.
Spokesperson Bruce Amundson says its unclear how that will effect
Northern Ontario Mills.
Amundson cautions a competitive market, high energy costs and the
strong loonie are still impacting their Canadian operations, including the
Dryden mill.
Weyerhaeuser’s second quarter earnings were $314-million with
$5.7-billion in net sales.
