Senator Lynn Beyak Fires Back At Andrew Scheer

Senator Lynn Beyak is speaking out about her removal from the Conservative National Caucus.

In an open letter, the Dryden resident stated that contrary to a statement from party leader Andrew Scheer that he asked her to remove content from her personal Senate website and she refused, she in fact didn’t talk to Scheer or anyone from his office, at any time.

Talking points from his office also declared: “Senator Beyak admitted that she intentionally posted racist correspondence about Indigenous Canadians to her Parliamentary website”.

Beyak says that statement is completely false, stressing she would never say or do such a thing.

Beyak calls Scheer an inexperienced leader who doesn’t adequately consider other viewpoints and says “we deserve better leadership other than the current choices”.

Beyak also wrote that “she will continue to post thoughtful ideas, stories, research and wisdom of the people, who recognize that enough is enough and it’s time for a change to help Indigenous people.

Beyak says she believes her personal Parliamentary website has given Canadians a voice for free speech, noting many citizens, Indigenous and non-Indigenous alike, from coast to coast, have written to her office expressing their views.

She says “Canadians can read and decide for themselves what is relevant and helpful for a fresh start for those Indigenous people who still suffer, and who live in homelessness and poverty with inadequate housing and dirty water.

Beyak adds discerning citizens don’t need the government to tell them what is allegedly racist.

The Independent Senator says she “will continue to be a voice for freedom of speech and she considers it her duty and her role to speak on behalf of so many wise Canadians”.
