Update Released On Thursday Collision In Dryden

The Dryden Police Service is releasing more details related to the crash on Highway 17 in Dryden.

Police say they had to shut down Highway 17 for quite some time due to the collision between an eastbound 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe and a westbound 2018 Chevrolet Equinox.

According to Dryden Police the eastbound Tahoe lost control and entered the westbound lane causing extensive damage to both vehicles.

The driver of the Tahoe was extracted from the vehicle by the Dryden Fire Service and transported to hospital with injuries.

Police also say the 44-year-old driver and 14-year-old passenger of the Equinox were also transported to hospital for precautionary reasons.

Dryden Police say no charges were laid in the incident and the cause of the collision was attributed to icy road conditions.
