The provincial government is now accepting applications for its Seniors Community Grants program.
It’s designed to help the elderly stay active and engaged in their communities.
Seniors Minister Mario Sergio says the program is part of a $2-million provincial seniors initiative.
Sergio says money for projects will be allocated on the basis of merit.
He note the funding is geared towards cultural and educational programming.
