A federal government committee is hearing from Liberal MP’s about a plan to create a national strategy for seniors.
Minister of Families, Children and Social Development Jean-Yves Duclos says he’s extremely committed to developing a plan and he wants input from all of those impacted.
One of the key issues on the agenda is establishing more home care opportunities for seniors.
There are also calls for a stand alone Minister dedicated for seniors.
Jean-Yves Duclos does feel the action the government has taken this year has helped improved the lives of seniors.
