Serious Crash Near Kenora

OPP say a 30-year-old Calgary resident was taken to hospital with major injuries following a collision between a car and a tractor trailer Wednesday morning near Kenora.
Police say a 1994 Chrysler crossed over the centre line and was struck by an eastbound transport near the Highway 17-71 Junction.
Police say the Calgary resident has been charged with careless driving and driving a motor vehicle with liquor readily available.
The 42-year-old transport driver was not injured.
The highway was shut down for several hours while the crash scene was cleared away.
