Severe Thunderstorm Watch; Canada Day Forecast

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect across most parts of the region.

Up to 25-millimetres of rain along the Highway 17 corridor is anticipated Friday.

It will hot and humid as well as windy on Sunday.

However, Bill Laidlaw of Signal Weather Services says things are shaping up to be pretty good on Canada Day.

Laidlaw says the high temperature should be 25, with very little humidity.

He notes winds will be dying down.
