A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for Dryden, Vermilion Bay and Ignace areas.
Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms late this afternoon into this evening.
These thunderstorms will be capable of producing strong wind gusts up to 90 km/h and large hail up to 2 cm in diameter. Locally heavy rainfall will also be possible.
The Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
