Severe Thunderstorms Possible Tonight

Thunder will be booming across the region as we’re under a severe thunderstorm watch.

Environment Canada’s Steve Knott tells us it’s part of a storm system coming in from the US border.

“In a few hours, we’re expecting things to try to clear up, and a second round of probably stronger thunderstorms to develop.”

Knott adds they’re keeping an eye on the area near the Minnesota border for possible risk of tornadoes.

It affects much of the Northwest, including the Thunder Bay, Geraldton, Atikokan, Fort Frances, Dryden, Ignace, and Red Lake areas. (File Photo)
