The former Chief of Police of Dryden is reflecting back on his 30-years with the service.
Shayne MacKinnon officially retired on Friday.
MacKinnon says he’s seen a number of positive changes during his tenure.
MacKinnon pointed to major improvements in impaired driving laws and he credits lobbying efforts from various groups including Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
He adds domestic violence laws, crime prevention programs and partnerships with other Police agencies have vastly improved.
When asked what he will miss the most, MacKinnon was quick to answer the Police Service staff and his fellow officers.
