Shoe Box Campaign Launched For Indigenous Youth

Organizers of a charity campaign for First Nations children say they want to show that Canadians support Indigenous youth.

Former Chief of Attawapiskat Bruce Shisheesh has launched the “I Love First Peoples” shoe box initiative.

Shisheesh is encouraging local residents to fill shoe boxes with school supplies and toys, which will be shipped to the Far North.

He says it’s their vision to give youth access to basic items.

The shoe box campaign is accepting donations until December 15th.
