A 50-year-old Eagle Lake woman who was caught shoplifting didn’t go quietly last Friday afternoon.
Dryden Police say the accused was caught not paying for $105 worth of items at a local grocery store.
Police say when the woman was approached by store security, she allegedly assaulted the employee.
The woman was subdued but assaulted the same person a second time when police were on site.
Bertha Thompson has been charged with theft, assault with intent to resist arrest and failing to comply with conditions of an undertaking.
Thompson is in custody.
